Quest game for school camp “In Search of Treasures”

Live QUEST

Participants in a live quest find themselves in a situation in which they have a common goal - searching for a killer, fighting for treasure, revealing a secret, saving from disaster. Each of the participants receives an individual role in this situation, as well as their own individual goals, sometimes even contrary to the general one - for example, to return a lover or find out about betrayal, to restore justice or, conversely, to cover up the traces of a crime. The ability to persuade is a useful skill for a player in a live quest. The presence of several goals provides a different plan for the game. The player will be able to determine which goal is his priority.

The point of the game is to complete as many goals as possible.

To do this, players need to communicate with each other, analyze information about other characters known to them from their role, obtain additional information, look for clues, think about motives, enter into alliances, bluff, intrigue and convince.

The outcome of the game usually depends entirely on the actions of the players.

Game description

Live quests last 2-3 hours. As a rule, 10-20 people participate in one game, sometimes a little more. This is due to the fact that each player has an important and related role in the quest.

This distinguishes live quests from interactive theater, popular in the West, where the entire detective story is performed by actors, the players do not have individual roles, and they are only trying to determine who is to blame.

Live quests can be costumed

Leading

The presenter controls the progress of the game, explains the rules and supports the players. He can either observe the action from the side or play an auxiliary technical role. Secret interaction between characters is also carried out through the presenter, if it is provided for by the game, for example, the use of hidden capabilities.

Psychological and social component of the game

A live quest is built on communication interaction between players. Without communicating with other players, it is impossible to achieve individual goals, which stimulates acquaintances, communication and serves as a good way to introduce a completely unfamiliar company. Additionally, since the characters' goals are often opposing, live quests have an element of competition.

On the other hand, live quests contribute to the development of analytical skills: as a rule, live quests contain a detective element that requires the ability to work with information and analyze it.

QUEST game “Talisman of the Five Blessings”

The symbol of the five blessings has been used since ancient times as a very auspicious sign. It was embroidered on clothes, placed on military shields, on all kinds of decorations and things. This is a wonderful gift for near and dear people to whom you want to wish prosperity, a long and happy life. The amulet depicts five bats around the sign of the Eternal Universe. Bats are the messengers of heaven, spreading all kinds of benefits throughout the world. The amulet was stolen. And divided into five parts.

The task of the QUEST participants is to collect the amulet and determine which five benefits the amulet contains.

Symbol of the five blessings:

Rose - happiness

Water is health

Fire is peace

The mirror is a virtue.

The camp is divided into 2-3 teams. The participants’ task is to walk around the camp area holding hands and in complete silence throughout the game. The game host strictly monitors the teams; if the rules are not followed, the team is penalized by deducting a point. Teams need to listen to each hero and understand what the hero wants. Usually the hero is missing some little thing. If the team brings this item, the hero gives something else in return. When things are distributed to the heroes, usually the last hero has what the team was looking for.

Role for a costume quest

Sage (by candlelight): “In one ancient castle, an amulet of five blessings was stolen. Hard times have begun in the kingdom. Princess Naina fell ill and fell asleep. She urgently needs a sip of clean water. But the waters dried up, the heat and heat destroyed the land. The warriors have begun. I feel like my days are numbered, I don’t have long left.” Dear travelers, help our kingdom. I give you this little thing (mirror) maybe it will be useful to you.

(The team must bring a candle (peace) to the sage. The sage gives the grass in return)

Our princess has become completely weak; she once had fun, ran around, and was even in love with a shepherd.

Grass - longevity

Naina and the courtier (Near her there is a vase of flowers): “Our princess has completely weakened, she once had fun, ran around and was even in love with a shepherd. They didn't rejoice for long. The shepherd was taken to war, and the princess fell ill. How pale. I've been waiting so long for her to wake up. I would do anything for the princess.

(The team must bring water. The courtier gives a rose in return)

Travidonna (sits in the grass) with a medicine book and reads recipes: “There is only one herb left in my forest. The flowers have dried up. And once upon a time in our forest flowers bloomed and birds sang. My loved ones grew along the edge of the forest. I grew new varieties. And now the grass is just grass. Yes, the grass has healing properties. And she can help people heal. But I want everything to be as it was before.

(Teams bring a rose. In return they receive healing herbs

Aquarius (with water): “The last drops remain.” What to do? How will I appear at court? I was beautiful, and now...... I was beautiful, I was beautiful. At least someone would say that I am beautiful. I do not believe. She was beautiful, but now...”

(Teams must bring a mirror. Receive water in return)

Warrior: “For 25 years, warriors with the kingdom of darkness have been marching in our kingdom. The fire of peace will help stop the warriors. My wounds have disfigured me so much (looks in the mirror). Now the princess will stop loving me. The war will end, but the scars will remain. No, I won't show myself to the princess. What terrible wounds.

(The team must bring a candle. The warrior gives the mirror)

Ready-made scenarios for conducting quests. Detailed information can be viewed by clicking on the image of interest.

About the kit

  • The outdoor quest for children “Summer Vacation” includes a set of tasks, each of which is hidden in a specific place. The solution to each riddle reveals the location where the next clue is hidden. This creates a chain of tasks that must be completed step by step in order to find the hidden surprise.
  • The quest provides a wide variety of universal places in nature (at the dacha, in the village, on the street in the courtyard of a private house or cottage, in a children's camp, on the river or seashore, at a seaside resort), where you can hide riddles and the surprise itself.
  • The kit allows you to create your own unique search chain: tasks can be arranged in any order and can be completed in any number of stages, which is very convenient for the quest organizer.
  • The clues are colorfully designed and contain interesting puzzles and intelligence tasks based on word games. The set contains 8 types of tasks with different keyword options.
  • The set is intended for children from 8 years old.
The tasks are not primitive, they are selected in such a way that they will be interesting not only for children, but also for teenagers.

Using this kit you can organize a quest:

  • for two teams:
    each type of task is completed in two versions, with different keywords - so that the teams have equal chances, and victory depends on the speed of reaction and intelligence of the players;
  • for one player or for one team of players:
in this case, the game organizer will have a choice of the most convenient places in nature to create a search chain; in each type of task, you need to select the option with the most suitable keyword.

Games by station

Briefly

:

Games by station (stations) are organized as follows. They set up several points (stations) around the camp. At each stage there is a person who will give tasks and mark the results in the waybill. Several teams are formed. Each team has its own route, its own sequence (this is so that the queue does not accumulate) for example, at 1 station - circus performers - you have to walk along a log. The condition is that all team members must pass. At station 2 - Guessing - everyone must solve a dozen riddles together. At station 3 - Risovalka - Some kind of collective drawing. And so on... Each team has its results noted on its waybill. Summing up - at the end. Usually at the last stage all teams gather at one point. In one place.

Preparation

:

  1. For this event, it is necessary to come up with stage competitions that can be held on the street, attracting as many people as possible (team.
  2. The number of competitions must be equal to the number of squads plus one (at least). All stages are scattered throughout the camp, and some beyond it (within reach). At each stage there is one counselor who clearly knows the rules of this competition.
  3. A route sheet (beautifully designed) is prepared for all units.
  4. It indicates the stages of the journey, the start and the sequence of passage. For each squad, the start is shifted by one stage in order, if possible, to avoid the accumulation of several squads in one place.

Carrying out the game

:

  1. All teams gather at the appointed time. The children are told the backstory.
  2. After handing over the cards to the squad leaders and after announcing the start, everyone sets off. Children run not alone, but as a whole group plus one counselor (this is mandatory, since some points are located outside the camp territory). At each stage, the children are waited by a leader-counselor who conducts the competition, monitors the correctness of the task and evaluates the result. The rating (on a 5-point scale) is placed directly on the route sheet. Or for each competition won, you can give out something tangible, for example, an integral part of a potion or card, or a key.
  3. The meaning of the competition is simple - whichever squad completes the route faster and scores the most points wins.

Trail of Terror

Night game "Trail of Terror"

To tell the truth, it’s hard to call it a game, but it’s quite a night’s entertainment. During daylight hours, the camp counselors, free from everyday everyday life, together with physical education instructors and other camp people, prepare for future victims a path with unpleasant surprises, along which each participant will have to walk at night. A prerequisite is that the trail is voluntary. The faint of heart should not be invited here. Depending on the degree of “perversion” of the leaders and the age of the participants, children can be launched along the path with burning candles, flashlights, or without any lighting fixtures at all. Each participant is launched at a time interval depending on the length of the trail, so that frightened children do not bump into each other, thereby only increasing the horror of the situation. For example, this interval could be 5 or 10 minutes.

This is what greeted fearless children on the trail:

1. "Falling tree." Actually, as you guessed, the tree is reusable and cut down in advance (dead wood, of course). The conductor standing at this station noisily knocks down a tree onto the path behind the stunned walker.

2. “The grave with the dead man rising.” A small mound of earth is erected next to the path, simulating a fresh burial. A burning candle is stuck into the mound, and immediately behind the mound a hole is dug into which the counselor lies down. The hole should be such that the person lying cannot be seen behind the mound. The attention of the person walking is concentrated on the candle and the mound, and at the moment of approaching the object, the person lying in the hole simply slowly sits down. This creates the “dead man rising” effect.

3. “Burning eyes.” Well, it's quite simple. A couple of flashlights in the thicket along the direction of travel. They light up when a participant approaches. You can blink a couple of times.

4. “The Hanged Man.” As we move, a hanged man hangs from the branch of a branched tree. For “hanging”, upper and lower rope harnesses are used if there is no climbing equipment. We strongly recommend that you tie the loops around your neck not from load-bearing ropes. “The Hangman” doesn’t need to be covered, it’s ominous enough as it is. But this option is incredibly difficult for the “gallows”, so it’s better to hang a scarecrow.

5. "Gnarled hand." A hole is dug next to the path, into which the counselor sits. It is covered with turf and all sorts of rubbish, camouflaged so that only a gnarled hand sticks out on the surface. Maybe a little backlighting.

6. “Whispers in the Night.” Well, there are many variations. From an unexpected whisper from behind “Tell me how to get to the library?”, to unexpected heartbreaking moans from the bushes “Give me back, give me my hand...”

7. "Wet flying shirt." Two thin, invisible strings are stretched across the path above the level of the walking child’s head. The wet shirt flies one at a time (preferably so that it lands on the victim’s head), with the help of the second the shirt returns to its original position. In general, if you are lazy, you can simply throw something wet from the bushes at the unfortunate victim. Gee-gee!

8. Yes, anything, everything that the leader’s irrepressible imagination suggests: from a crawling rope depicting a snake and falling into shallow holes with water, to witches’ sabbaths on brooms.
