Calm and active New Year's games for children

We must also not forget about the children present at the New Year celebration, otherwise their pranks or whims can ruin the entire celebration for adults. Depending on the age and temperament of the children, you can offer different entertainment to young guests.

Games with snow

There is no need to go outside at all - excellent snowballs are made from cotton wool or crumpled sheets of paper. Game options: collect soft lumps from the floor into baskets, throw them from a distance into empty buckets, build a “snow” tower.

Guess by touch

Participants take turns putting on thick mittens and blindfolds, after which they must guess which vegetable or fruit is lying on the table in front of them. You can use everything you can find in the kitchen: carrots, beets, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, oranges, bananas.

Dress up the mummy

Divide the children into groups and ask them to create a mummy by wrapping toilet paper around one of the team members. If the entertainment seemed too short, you can continue it - invite the children to paint their “creation” with acrylic paints.

Prepare small prizes that you will give to children for winning competitions. Don’t deprive the losers either - let them get the reward “for the will to win”, otherwise you will not avoid tears and resentment.

New Year competitions for a fun company

Competition “Nose for a Snowman”

2 stands are placed in front of the tree, large sheets with images of snowmen are attached to them. Two or more people participate. They are blindfolded. At the signal, they must reach the snowmen and stick their nose (it can be a carrot). Others help with words: left, right, lower, higher.

Competition "Snowball"

The presenter selects three participants, who are given 3 balloons, a felt-tip pen and tape. They must make a snowman from this material. The winner is the one who manages it the fastest and does not burst a single balloon.

Competition "New Year's Faces"

Another name for the competition is photo studio. The point is that everyone pulls out a piece of paper on which is written what needs to be depicted with their face. You can use emotions and facial expressions. Or pull back your ears and nose. Anything as long as it's funny. The presenter approaches the participant with a camera, camera or smartphone and takes a photo. Photographic equipment must be connected to a projector so that all guests of the holiday can immediately see the pictures.

Roles for participants to write on pieces of paper:

  • Forgetful Santa Claus.
  • The most decrepit snowflake.
  • Frivolous Snow Maiden.
  • Dancing Chunga-changa.
  • Merry Baba Yaga.
  • Reindeer without antlers.
  • Hungry Santa Claus.
  • Snowman at sea.
  • Sleepy Snow Maiden.
  • Sly Koschey the Immortal.
  • A dozing tree.
  • Capricious princess.
  • A strong hero.
  • Snowman gorged on snow.
  • Smiling mouse.
  • Tired New Year's bull (in the year of the Ox).

Competition "Turnip: New Year's version"

If you love New Year's competitions for the whole family, then turnip is what you need!

So, you need to prepare the participants - they need to match the number of characters in the fairy tale. Each participant gets a role in an impromptu performance. It's simple, the participant needs to remember the key phrase and movement that he must act out when mentioning himself.

  • The turnip will slap its knees and then clap its hands with the exclamation “Both-on!”
  • Grandfather rubs his palms and grunts, “Yes, sir!”
  • The grandmother swings her fist at the grandfather and says, “I would have killed him!”
  • The granddaughter dances and sings “I’m ready!” in a high voice (when men play this role, it turns out just great).
  • The bug itches and complains of fleas.
  • The cat wags its tail and mannerly drawls, “And I’m on my own.”
  • The mouse sadly shrugs its shoulders and says, “We’ve finished the game!”

After everyone has tried themselves in a new role, the presenter reads the text of the fairy tale (no changes here), and the actors act out their role whenever they hear about themselves. The grandfather planted (rubs his hands and grunts) a turnip (clap-clap, both of them!) and further according to the text. Believe me, there will be enough bursts of laughter, especially when the fairy tale comes to the end, and the presenter will list all the participants in turn.

Competition "By touch"

Competition for couples. Several people sit on chairs. 3-4 men. They sit on chairs next to each other. Their companions or wives are given a mitten. Women are blindfolded. Each of them takes turns putting a mitten on her hand. Feels each man, trying to recognize his own. Whoever he chooses, he follows. It is better to discuss the areas of palpation in advance. Roles can be changed. Women will sit and be groped by their male companions.

Competition “Dress me in mittens”

2 or 3 couples are invited: a man and a woman. The essence of the game is that a man must put on and button up a dress shirt on a woman. A man's hands should be dressed in winter mittens.

Competition "Ice Palace"

Props: Lots of ice cubes. Two teams are selected, each of them is given a huge bowl with ice cubes. In five minutes, before the ice melts, they must build a beautiful palace out of it on the table. The team with the most beautiful and original ice palace wins.

Competition "Santa Claus and the Reindeer"

By the way, if you are selecting competitions for a corporate event for the New Year or for a party that will not take place in a city apartment, then be sure to play Santa with his reindeer. There is no need to divide the guests into teams; it is enough to simply invite them to split into pairs.

Each pair has a "reindeer" and a "Santa Claus": you can give one an impromptu antler and the other a Santa Claus cap - both of which are sold for mere pennies in a fixed price store before the new year.

The “deer” needs to be blindfolded and made into a harness - no need to split hairs, a simple clothesline or cord that wraps around the belt will do. The reins are given to Santa, who stands behind his “reindeer.” A track is built from the pins, the leader gives a signal and the competition begins. Those participants who reach the finish line earlier than others and do not knock down the pins win. Instead of skittles, you can use empty bottles, cardboard drink cups or paper cones.

Competition "Bunnies"

If you want to pick up outdoor games for the New Year, play bunny. On New Year's Eve, it is best to play this game at home when there are many guests - it is suitable for a group of friends.

Everyone stands in a circle and holds hands, the leader walks around all the players in a circle and whispers to everyone the names of two animals - a wolf and a bunny, a fox and a bunny, and so on. Then he explains the essence of the game - when the presenter says the name of the animal out loud, the person for whom it was given crouches, and his neighbors on the left and right, on the contrary, pull him up, preventing him from crouching. You need to play at a good pace so that the participants get into a frenzy.

The main joke of this action is that absolutely all players have a second animal - a bunny. Therefore, after people have taken turns squatting to the names of other animals, the leader says “Bunny!”, and the whole circle suddenly tries to sit down (trying to overcome the possible resistance of neighbors, as was the case with other animals).

Naturally, everyone starts laughing, and a pile of small things gathers on the floor!

Competition "Light the Fire"

In this competition, each participant receives his own set: a bag tied with a simple knot, and in it is another bag, and in this bag is another bag, and another, and another. There should be about 10 packages in total. All the bags are tied, and the very last bag contains a sparkler.

At the command “start”, all participants begin to disassemble the “pyramid” of bags, that is, untie one and take out the second, until they reach the light that needs to be burned. Whichever participant can do it faster than the rest will receive a prize.

Competition "Dance on an Ice Floe"

Any number of male-female couples can participate in the competition. To carry it out you will need newspapers (according to the number of pairs). A newspaper is placed in front of each couple - this is their ice floe. The participants' task is to dance without stepping over the edges of the newspaper. Every minute the ice floe begins to melt, and the newspaper folds in half. Music is constantly changing. You cannot stand; the couple must dance. Participants who step outside the boundaries of the newspaper are eliminated from the game. The last pair remaining wins.

New Year 2021 on Poklonnaya Hill

The festival “Ice Moscow” is taking place on Poklonnaya Hill. In the family". This year it is dedicated to the great Russian achievements of the past and present. The journey into the past will begin from the Kremlin ice sculpture, 10 meters high. Then you can see the successes of Russian culture, science and art:

  • In the zone of Russian science: Dmitry Mendeleev's table
  • Radio invented by Alexander Popov
  • Composition “Let's go!” with the Vostok spacecraft and Yuri Gagarin.
  • In the cultural zone - Bolshoi Theater of Russia with a ballerina and the Nutcracker

Opening hours: from December 28 to January 12 from 11:30 to 22:30. The entertainment program takes place three times a day - at 15:00, 17:00 and 19:00. Entrance to the festival sites is paid.

New Year's competitions for the whole family at the table

New Year is a family holiday, and in order not to get bored on New Year's Eve at the festive table, you need to think through competitions, games and quizzes for the whole family in advance. Which will make your holiday a fun and interesting event.

You can involve children, even very young ones, in New Year's competitions for the whole family. There is little entertainment for children at the table other than eating sweets and tangerines. And games will keep children occupied and relieve tension among adults.

Competition "Melt the Snow Queen's Heart"

When planning to hold this competition, you need to freeze the ice in the molds in advance. Just before the start of the competition, all participants are given saucers with pieces of ice, and when the “start!” command sounds, everyone must melt this piece with their warmth in any way. You can rub it in your hands, breathe on it, come up with other options.

The one whose piece of ice melts first will be declared the winner. The prize could be a rose, a crystal object, or any item from a famous fairy tale.

    Competition "New Year's Quiz"

Another great form of entertainment for a fun New Year's party is a New Year's quiz. It will not let you get bored, will diversify other table games and give you a break from active games or dancing. You can come up with quiz questions yourself or use them from the article.

For this game, the presenter will have to prepare in advance. You need to inflate many, many balloons. It is advisable to inflate with helium, a gas that will lift the balloons to the ceiling. A long thread should be tied to each ball. So that the thread hangs down to the guests and can be easily reached by stretching your hand up. A folded piece of paper with wishes should be tied to the bottom of the thread.

The balls should be placed so that they are under the ceiling exactly above the tables or above the guests. Everyone can take out their wish and read it at any time. It is important that there are more wishes than guests. This is both a hall decoration and a New Year's game.

Competition “Sudden horoscope for next year”

Each of the guests writes on his piece of paper any 5 words that come to his mind. When everyone has written their words and put down their pens, the presenter explains the rules: you need to, taking as a basis the written words from your neighbor on the right, draw up a horoscope for the coming year for your neighbor on the left, clockwise, in a circle. This way everyone will know what awaits them in the new year and everyone will laugh heartily.

    Competition "Toasts by alphabet"

During one of the pauses, the presenter takes the floor and reminds everyone present that the New Year’s celebration is just beginning, but it’s already difficult to remember the alphabet. In this connection, the presenter suggests filling glasses and raising a toast to the New Year, but strictly in alphabetical order.

Each guest must make a short toast to his letter of the alphabet. The first one starts with the letter a, the second one should start with the letter b, and so on. Toasts should be simple:

    • It is absolutely necessary to drink to happiness in the new year!
    • Let's be healthy in the new year!
    • Let's drink to the old year!
    • If we don't get drunk, we'll have to eat!

The task for everyone present is to make toasts for each letter of the alphabet, and then choose the winner - the one who came up with the best toast, which is worth drinking for!

    Game “Congratulations from Santa Claus”

Write a collective New Year's greeting for Santa Claus. You can use a ready-made text (as in the image), you can create your own - the main thing is that it should not contain adjectives - the guests should call them.

The host invites the guests to congratulate each other and say a big and beautiful toast - and waves a postcard on which he has already written a congratulation. Only he didn’t have enough adjectives, and the guests must suggest them. Everyone randomly offers adjectives related to winter, New Year and holiday, and the presenter writes them down and then reads out the result - the text turns out to be very funny!

Competition “News from the New Year”

A great competition that you can play without leaving the table.

The presenter will need to prepare cards on which unrelated words and concepts will be written - five or six words, no more needed. Each participant receives a card and must quickly come up with the hottest news from the New Year's issue, using all the words from the card. What to write on cards? Any set of words.

    • China, dumplings, roses, Olympics, lilac.
    • Santa Claus, wheel, eraser, north, bag.
    • New Year, fan, tights, pan, scabies.
    • Santa Claus, Bull, herring, stapler, barrier.
    • Nettle, tinsel, Kirkorov, fishing rod, plane.
    • Football, shovel, snow, Snow Maiden, tangerines.
    • Snowman, beard, tights, bicycle, school.
    • Winter, zoo, washing, boa constrictor, rug.
    • Rug, apricot, wash, snake.
    • Japan, oranges, handball, girls.
    • Dumplings, Olympics, travel bag, scabies.
    • Nettle, beard, Snowman, bicycle.
    • Tangerines, barrier, football, fishing rod.

How to come up with news? Set an example for your guests by showing them that all words need to be used, and the stranger the news, the more interesting it is.

Well, for example, from the last example I gave, you can build something like this: “In the Moscow Zoo, during winter washing, a rug was discovered in a boa constrictor.” There will be a reason to be surprised, and laugh, and drink to the fact that all the news in the new year 2021 will be just as positive.

New Year's competition for the family “Believe it or not”

For this competition, the presenter will have to prepare 10-15 interesting facts on any topic. Props: a blank sheet of paper and ballpoint pens for each participant.

The presenter reads out the fact, and the participants mark on their sheets of paper “I believe” or “I don’t believe” next to each point. At the end, everyone hands in their work, and the presenter announces the correct answers, as well as the names of those who completed the task best.

    Competition "Song from a Hat"

Almost all New Year's competitions at the table involve playing with a hat - some notes are thrown into the hat in advance, and then they are pulled out and carried out tasks for relatives or colleagues.

On New Year's Day, with our family, we will play a popular variation of this game with songs. You need to scribble notes with winter and New Year's words into the hat, each guest blindly takes a note out of the hat and sings a song in which this word appears.

By the way, you will be able to have fun even if during the feast you forget all the songs - most likely, your family, like my relatives, will have a great idea to compose a small song on the go to the most popular tune, or somehow remake one from famous New Year's songs of past years.

This game is also suitable for a small company of any age - of course, a schoolchild is unlikely to recognize Soviet songs, but the result will be funny, and different age groups will be able to get closer during the game - after all, cool New Year's competitions unite!
