How to decorate a school and classroom for the New Year: ideas for children, teachers and parents

Preparations for the New Year begin long before the winter holidays. Already in mid-November, in many countries around the world, all cities gradually begin to try on festive outfits. Bright illuminations decorate the streets and buildings, and a Christmas tree is installed and decorated in the central squares.

Educational institutions do not deviate from traditions either. Schools and kindergartens hold New Year's parties and other festive events. Most often, teachers and children are involved in decorating the classroom using toys and handmade crafts.

There are several universal ideas on how to decorate a school classroom for the New Year 2022. Using them as a basis, you can quickly and beautifully decorate your classroom for the upcoming holiday. Simple tips with photos and decoration ideas can be useful for both children and their parents. After all, creating New Year's decor with your own hands is not at all difficult.

School corridor decoration

Decorating the windows for the New Year
School corridors require special attention, because they are the first to greet schoolchildren, and they are the ones who must set the right festive mood.

Decorating a school with balloons is the most winning option. You can make balloon arches and place them at the school entrance. “Air fountains” will look original if placed near office doors.

You can also decorate the walls with various thematic wall newspapers and paper garlands; you can make colored flags from fabric and combine them into a single composition, similar to a garland of balloons. Moreover, this option is ideal for the long term, because fabric products can be easily washed, ironed and restored, which means that you can not only use them in school decorations for September 1, but they will also serve as decoration for other holidays.

New Year's decoration of the school facade

Few people don’t like December, because the approaching holiday literally transforms the entire city - apartment buildings, shopping centers, hospitals, storefronts, schools. It's the latter that we'll talk about. To decorate the school facade for the New Year, you can use large tinsel, beads, and fabric garlands. Also, around the perimeter of the school yard, many will enjoy making stunning snowmen and dressing them up in a festive manner, for example, using tinsel as a scarf, and colored rain as a wig. It will be fun to put a bright shiny hat on top.

"Weather" design of the school classroom

Decorating salads for the New Year 2021

You can take the weather outside as your classroom decor idea by decorating your classroom according to the seasons. For example, in the winter, you could set up a classroom with a winter theme and encourage your students to do a research activity comparing the average temperature in winter with the average temperature in summer throughout Russia.

You can also discuss temperature differences around the world during similar months. But decorating a primary school classroom during the winter months can also be done with a summer theme to give students a break from the cold weather outside.

A classroom decorated with a summer theme could include beach towels, a picture of the sun with sunglasses on it, and even a large sun umbrella in the corner of the office to add to the beach vibe.

School canteen - how great it sounds!

When children eat in a beautiful dining room, this puts children in a positive mood, so a beautiful interior design is also part of aesthetic education. New technologies that can easily take root in the school canteen.

  • This room can benefit greatly if we are not afraid to use the full color scheme in the design, because children love everything bright, beautiful, and sunny.
  • It is better to put furniture in the school cafeteria that is simple, durable, and made from hypoallergenic materials, although the price of such furniture is high, but it is justified.
  • Posters with eloquent inscriptions on paintings, beautiful still lifes, sketches depicting fruits and vegetables, and delicious food will look very good.

Class decoration for September 1

Design of the board for September 1

Drawings for February 23rd for children in school and kindergarten

The board is the most important element in every classroom; it instantly attracts all attention, so when decorating, forgetting about it is not only impossible, but unacceptable. What is the best way to decorate a chalkboard for the holiday? The easiest option is to make all kinds of drawings with colored chalks.

But this can only be used if there is a person nearby who knows how to draw beautifully. Most importantly, the drawings should be bright, cheerful and on a school theme.

The easiest option is to make all kinds of drawings with colored chalks. But this can only be used if there is a person nearby who knows how to draw beautifully. Most importantly, the drawings should be bright, cheerful and school themed.

Decorating the board with corrugated paper figures, balloons, paper garlands or letters looks more advantageous.

Desks and chairs

When decorating the classroom for the first of September with your own hands, pay individual attention to each child. Prepare small gifts for students. This could be a flower knitted from balloons (you can make them yourself), or a small souvenir assembled from stationery

Well, if you don’t have the energy, time and imagination, then you can simply tie a balloon inflated with helium to each chair.

Walls and cool corner

What is the design of an office without wall decor? This is where designers can show all their creative abilities.

One of the elementary ways to decorate walls is with the same paper garlands. You can do them yourself, it won’t take much work, it all depends on the availability of time.

Don’t forget about decorating the classroom with balloons, because this is the fastest way to create a festive atmosphere. You don’t need to limit yourself to garlands of balloons; you can try to make unusual figures: a class number or a panel.

The walls look very nice decorated with balloon flowers. To create a flower you need only 5 balls, four of which are the petals, the fifth is the core.

A cool corner on September 1 should be decorated with a bright festive wall newspaper

This could be a congratulatory poster or information leaflet covering the history of the Knowledge Day holiday. You can also attract the attention of children and adults by decorating the stand in the form of a photo report about the past years of education of the children in the class. Also, themed folders would be appropriate in a cool corner.

Vinyl stickers in classroom decoration

Recently, vinyl stickers have become especially popular in wall decor. They are easy to apply and just as easy to remove from almost any surface. But you can place them not only on walls. They will look great on window panes, on a chalkboard, and on a classroom door. This is a great option for those who have no desire to make any jewelry with their own hands.

The choice of such stickers is so large that if you start searching in advance, you can choose an image of an absolutely suitable theme and size. You can decorate your classroom for Knowledge Day with vinyl stickers of the following themes: “Autumn Time”, “School”, “Letters and Numbers”, “Cartoon Characters”, “Flowers and Patterns”.

The issue of decorating a classroom for September 1 must be approached very responsibly, because if properly organized, this holiday will leave an indelible impression on the children and their parents.

New Year's ideas for school windows

Stickers in the same style

Few people have the patience to cut out complex designs on their own with a sharp knife. And there is no point in doing all this when the Chinese industry supplies such a variety of stickers. These pictures stick to windows without glue, come off without any consequences, you don’t even need to wipe them with a dry cloth.

Each sticker sheet has a size listed, so it's pretty easy to get an idea of what size each individual figure is. Measure all windows in width and height, think over a plan for placing stickers and purchase the required quantity.

Vertical paper garlands on threads

These are ready-made and very beautiful garlands of different colors. They don’t always have a New Year’s theme, but if you choose a combination of white, gold, silver or red-green garlands, it will turn out very elegant.

Small and large circles resemble flakes of coarse snow. The stars look even more spectacular. The threads are easily secured with tape to window frames, and all these decorations are suitable for those cases where the glass itself is not allowed to be sealed. Often such paper garlands are attached over curtains to curtain rod hooks.

“Snow” spraying using synthetic snow spray

To apply patterns, stencils and a can of Frost Spray are used. Try it on paper, then start decorating the windows. If you spray frost close, the temporary paint will adhere tightly (bright white flakes). If you spray from a distance, you will get translucent “clouds”.

You can use different stencils. In some you fill the voids, the background remains transparent. You can glue a paper snowflake with water, smooth it slightly with an absorbent napkin, and spray it with spray.

After the “frost” has dried, carefully remove the snowflake. You will get a white fragment of glass with a transparent snowflake

Synthetic snow can be removed very easily with a dry cloth.

The school classroom is a child's world

Brightly designed displays in an elementary school will help create a more welcoming environment, but they should all be educational to some extent. Schoolchildren can make information stands for classroom decoration with their own hands.

For example, have students draw a poster about a historical event, historical figure, or scientific fact. Posters should relate to what is currently being taught in the classroom or planned to be taught in the near future.

Rotate the posters throughout the year so that each student's poster is on display. Posters drawn by schoolchildren will allow them to feel involved in creating the atmosphere in the classroom.

In addition, children’s crafts made during technology lessons will help create an original classroom interior.

Original and simple design ideas

Colorful posters and wall newspapers look very nice. Decorate your front door or side wall in your office with them. There are many options for making and decorating wall newspapers, so you can choose the most suitable one in accordance with the age of the children and the specifics of the class.

Use thematic applications, drawings and pictures depicting New Year's paraphernalia and symbols of the year. Beautifully designed photographs of students and teachers will also work. Be sure to leave space in the newspaper for a congratulatory inscription with wishes for the coming year.

All students must participate in the design of the school office. This exciting activity will not only fill the room with the spirit of the upcoming holiday, but will also unite the team. Invite the children to independently invent and make decorative souvenirs and toys, which can then be used to prepare the class for the New Year.

Entrance door

The design of the office should begin with the doors. The entrance to the room is usually decorated with a Christmas wreath, but in addition you can also use other decorative elements. The wreath can be made from pine cones, fir branches or paper.

An excellent solution would be a large sticker with a picture of a Christmas tree or Santa Claus, a poster with a thematic picture or a calendar. A Christmas tree made of foil or corrugated paper framed with snowflakes will look no less interesting. You can attach the volumetric composition using double-sided tape.

Blackboard

A classroom is a work space in which the main place is occupied by the blackboard. It is constantly used, so it should always remain free. When preparing, you should take this feature into account and choose decorations that will not distract children from the educational process.

Rules for decorating a school board:

  • crafts should not occupy more than 1/3 of the total surface;
  • elements must be firmly fixed;
  • details should be bright, not too small.

The most suitable way to decorate a holiday board is with vertical garlands. They can be made from cotton wool or paper. The parts are strung on a strong thread and secured to the top of the frame.

Other types of paper crafts are also suitable - snowflakes and ring garlands. A Christmas wreath would look great. The New Year's composition may include a wall newspaper or a holiday poster. For decoration, you can also prepare traditional lanterns or rain.

Walls

The largest surfaces that are not occupied in the educational process are windows, walls and ceilings. They can be decorated in a New Year's theme with light designs and compositions. The main condition is that they should not be too bulky or heavy to ensure the safety of children in the classroom.

Hanging decorations, snowflakes and garlands can be made from cotton wool, fabric, colored threads and ribbons. You can place a decorative Christmas tree, poster or newspaper on the wall. Stylists offer interesting ideas for wall decoration - three-dimensional figures and holiday symbols.

The attachment to the wall should be strong, but easy to remove if necessary. Scotch tape or PVA glue are suitable for this purpose. If there are educational tables or maps on the walls, they are decorated in the same way as the board - with light decor, occupying no more than a third of the surface.

Window

The quickest way to transform cool windows is to decorate them with snowflakes cut out of white paper. Patterns can be different as desired. You can use ready-made templates and diagrams, which you just need to attach to the sheet and cut out the appropriate places with scissors.

Decorative hard soap is used to attach paper snowflakes. Prepare a soap solution with water and apply it to the surface of the glass. After the holiday, you can easily remove the snowflakes and wash the windows.

Decorate the window sills with light decorative compositions made of cotton wool or paper. Plastic and other flammable materials are not suitable. To decorate the frames, use artificial snow and New Year's rains.

Desks and tables

The teacher's table and desks can also be decorated for the holiday. However, you should not occupy a large part of the working surface, especially with small parts. Limit yourself to edging - rain or a snowflake glued to the top of the table.

Depending on the total area, you can also place several other thematic images on the desk. The teacher's desk will be decorated with a decorative Christmas tree made of cardboard or felt. A composition or bouquet of pine branches will look original.

The side of the table can be decorated with a garland. In the center of the table, place a Christmas tree decorated with souvenir figurines of the symbol of the year - the Metal Bull.

How to quickly and easily decorate a classroom?

The atmosphere of the approaching holiday is created not only by New Year's decorations, but also by the general mood. A few simple tips will show you how you can decorate your classroom with inexpensive DIY crafts.

The classroom should look elegant without losing its intended purpose. That is why thematic design mainly concerns walls, doors, windows and ceilings. If there is free space, you can install a small artificial or live Christmas tree in high schools.

To decorate a school office for the holiday, you must adhere to certain rules:

  1. Place the Christmas tree in the corner of the room, apply a decorative pattern or composition to the walls or windows.
  2. Together with the children, prepare a thematic wall newspaper or poster.
  3. Decorate windows, doors, ceiling, curtains and board.

When designing a school office, consider its purpose. Do not block important areas of the classroom that are used in the learning process. Try to create a composition in the same color scheme.

In the year of the Metal Ox, traditional white and silver, as well as red, blue and green shades, will be in fashion. Don't forget about souvenirs and figurines of the symbol of the year - they can also be used in holiday decor.

We decorate the Christmas tree

The forest beauty is one of the main attributes of the New Year holiday. Christmas trees are decorated on the streets and in residential premises, in educational institutions and in the workplace. As the main symbol of the coming year, it also takes its place of honor in the school classroom.

When choosing a Christmas tree, you should consider some nuances. In the foyer, the tree can be large and take up quite a lot of space. However, in the classroom its size should be average so as not to interfere with the learning process.

You also need to pay attention to the choice of jewelry. Do not use any glass products that could injure children.

Toys and souvenirs made from more durable materials are best suited.

Professional designers recommend giving preference to a medium-sized artificial Christmas tree. It can be installed on the teacher’s desk or in one of the free corners of the office.

Choose paper garlands and decorative figures made from papier-mâché or thread. Coins and animal figurines made from salt dough, sweets in shiny wrappers, cookies or decorative compositions made of fabric are suitable.

You should choose a Christmas tree in accordance with the overall dimensions, layout and free space of the office. Depending on the size, the decoration method is also selected. In small rooms, the most optimal solution would be decor on the wall or board.

You can make homemade Christmas trees together with your children, inviting them to participate in an exciting activity. It is better to select the design style and color palette in accordance with the design of the walls, windows and ceiling of the room.

There are a lot of options for decorating the Christmas tree at school. Paper lanterns, flags and garlands can be offered as toys. The tree can be decorated with photographs of students and teachers, adding souvenirs of candies and other sweet souvenirs.

Fairy lights

The easiest way to decorate a school classroom is with paper garlands, fringe or glitter. Elements of pendants can have a traditional thematic shape - stars, flags and lanterns, figures of Santa Claus or Snowman.

In addition to the traditional plot, you can include details of various shapes in the design. Garlands in the form of circles, triangles and snowflakes are easy to make with your own hands together with students of any age, even elementary school. They are suitable for the Christmas tree and ceiling, windows and chalkboard.

Hanging garlands will look great on walls and near chalkboards, over curtains or on the front door. Any decorative items made of paper, cardboard or fabric are suitable for decorating a school office. Bright ribbons of different colors will be an excellent material for needlework. Small soft toys are suitable as additional elements.

Creating the symbol of 2021 - the Rooster

The symbol of the coming year will be the Fire Rooster. You can make it in a variety of ways: knitting, embroidering, sculpting, etc. We will tell you how to make a cute cockerel from plastic bottles.

In addition to three brown bottles, you will need:

  • disposable plates, cups and spoons (white);
  • a small plastic ball for the head (you can borrow it from a child’s toys or take it from a dry pool).

It is advisable to take plates and cups in two colors - red and yellow, then the cockerel will be bright and colorful, but a white design will also look good (in the absence of colored materials).

Tools to help you create a cockerel:

  • sharp scissors;
  • stationery knife;
  • stapler;
  • black marker or acrylic paint (for drawing eyes);
  • 2 types of tape (double-sided and regular colorless).

So, if everything you need is at hand, let's get started:

  1. From the cut off upper parts of the bottles we construct the body of a cockerel, focusing on the photo. The design is created through the use of adhesive tape. One of the bottles should stick out a little more, this will be the front of the bird.

We construct the body of a cockerel from the top parts of bottles

  1. Cut off the bottom of plastic glasses and make circular cuts around the edge. Using different colors, we put these blanks on the tail part, attaching with tape. At the same time, you can show your imagination by alternating one, two, etc. cut glasses of the same color.

Cut plastic cups are useful for the tail section

  1. We make the tail from disposable plates. To do this, we use the edges of plates of different lengths with cuts. A stapler will help you connect individual feathers into a beautiful and bright tail.

These beautiful feathers are made from disposable plates

  1. We insert the resulting tail into the back of the bottle structure, making a small cut with a knife. We decorate the cut area with colored paper.

After creating the frame of the product, you can proceed to decorating

  1. We cut out wings from the remaining centers of disposable plates and glue them with tape in the right place.
  2. We place the plastic ball in place of the head (on double-sided tape).

We make the cockerel's head from a plastic ball

  1. For the comb, beak and beard we use red plastic plates. We insert the resulting parts into the cuts on the ball-head.
  2. We cut off the handles from the spoons, draw black pupils and attach eyes to the top of the head.
  3. The lower part of the cockerel can be attached to a stick and decorated or inserted into the neck of a bottle or jar.

The symbol of the New Year is ready

Decorating your office on New Year's Eve is a wonderful way to show your imagination and creativity. In addition, you can gather like-minded people, attract the class teacher and make the decoration of the classroom another pre-New Year event. The main thing is not to forget to repeat it after the holiday - when all this beauty will have to be removed and put away until the next New Year.

Examples of holiday crafts

All decorations for the school classroom are simple and easy to make with your own hands. To do this, just prepare a set of cardboard and paper, scissors, pencils and other craft tools. Invite students to choose their own decorations to make for windows, doors, chalkboards, or walls.

Paper lanterns

Original souvenirs that are suitable both for decorating a Christmas tree and for creating a festive interior. Lanterns can be taken both as parts for a garland and as independent decorations.

Light airy toys can be made of any geometric shape. Round, diamond-shaped, triangular or square lanterns of different sizes and colors will look great. It all depends on your imagination and desire. Don’t forget to put a piece of your soul into the craft, and the multi-colored lights will shine with real magical New Year’s light.

Necessary tools and materials:

  • Colored paper - several sheets.
  • Scissors, pencil, ruler.
  • Scotch.
  • Lace or thick thread.
  • Awl, thick needle, glue.

Step by step work plan:

  1. Measure a distance of 7-10 mm from the rectangular sheet, draw an even line along the entire length, and cut with scissors. Set the resulting strip aside, and fold the remaining part of the sheet in two in the middle (colored side inward).
  2. Step back 2 cm from the edge and draw a straight line parallel to the edge. Make small cuts. You should get a longitudinal accordion or fringe up to the fold line, marked with a pencil.
  3. Unfold the prepared rectangle, then fold it in the middle of the fold on the front side.
  4. Roll the resulting shape into a tube and secure the top and bottom edges with tape. At the top, attach a handle made from the first strip cut from a sheet of paper. It can be replaced with lace or colored ribbon. Pass the cord through the hole made with an awl or large gypsy needle. If desired, you can prepare the bases for flashlights of any size.

Ready-made crafts can be supplemented with sparkles or beads by gluing them with transparent varnish or glue. Look at simple patterns and templates - with their help you can make other options for lanterns. Choose jewelry to suit every taste.

Openwork toys

You can make original Christmas tree decorations from threads and thin ribbons. They can be used to decorate a Christmas tree or to decorate windows, ceilings or boards. A simple master class will help you make a souvenir of any shape.

Prepare threads or thin ribbons, Vaseline, PVA glue and several balloons. Inflate balloons of different sizes and grease their outer surface well with Vaseline. Dip the threads into glue and let them soak well.

Wrap the balls with the prepared material to leave as few empty spaces as possible. Leave the pieces to dry completely for 24 hours. Using a sharp needle, deflate the balloons inside the craft. Decorate the blanks to your taste.

Any small accessories are suitable for needlework: floss, beads, seed beads, buttons, pieces of felt, etc. To make a Snowman or any fairy-tale figurine, connect several balls with glue.

Plastic figures

Original crafts will be made from plastic disposable cups. They will make a three-dimensional figurine that can be mounted on the wall or placed on the floor in a free area of the classroom.

You will need:

  • Disposable white cups - 300-500 pieces.
  • Glue or stapler.
  • Colored paper, cardboard, tinsel.
  • Large beads, buttons, Christmas balls.

Making master class:

  1. Connect the cups together so that you get two balls. For the base of the first circle, take 25 glasses, for the second, 17-18. Continue adding cups so that all subsequent rows form an even ball. Do not connect the balls at the bottom - this will give stability to the figure.
  2. Using red or orange paper, make a cone - a nose, which will need to be attached to a smaller circle. Use sheets of other colors to make a hat or bucket for the Snowman. For the eyes, use Christmas tree decorations or large beads. Glue all decorative parts with glue and let them dry.
  3. Mask the junction of the balls with a scarf. Glue large buttons along the body in increments of 3-5 cm.

A charming New Year's Snowman can easily turn into Father Frost or Snow Maiden if you add a few details. Add a cotton wool beard to Santa Claus. A charming crown framed with tinsel is perfect for the Snow Maiden. You can independently model a toy to suit every taste, decorating it with various available materials.

Wall Christmas trees

In small rooms, a decorative Christmas tree on the wall will be an excellent decoration. This method is also suitable for decorating a primary school classroom. A Christmas tree can be made in several ways: by drawing, creating a composition or applique from multi-colored fabrics, paper, plastic cups, etc.

The easiest way is to make a New Year's beauty out of paper.

A festive symbol made from pieces of colored felt will look original.

Repurpose a finished paper garland by folding it into the shape of a Christmas tree.

A craft made from pine branches will create a festive atmosphere. Be sure to make a strong frame from wooden planks or thick but flexible wire.

Take advantage of other original ideas for making a wall-mounted Christmas tree.

To prepare your school office for the holiday, it is not at all necessary to purchase expensive toys. The main rule of New Year's decor is that it should be bright and elegant, especially since this is not difficult to do. Use materials that you always find on hand. Take ideas from photos as a basis, or come up with your own special version.

School Classroom Themes

Before you style your class around a specific topic, divide it into different sections or areas, each with its own specific functions. These areas may change at the discretion of the teacher.

For example, you can use a jungle theme to decorate your classroom. In this case, call one part of the classroom “Lion's Den” - this can be a corner for reading and relaxing. If possible, lay a green or brown rug here. Place a hand-made palm tree in a corner: make the trunk from a large sheet of cardboard, rolling it into a tube, use paper towels for the crown, and balls rolled from old newspapers and covered with brown paper can act as coconuts. A real palm tree can take the place of a homemade palm tree, but it requires constant care. Plant birds and monkeys on your palm tree by cutting them out of cardboard. Sew large seat cushions for children using fabric with appropriately themed images.

Another part of the classroom can be called the “Elephant Wall” and essentially serve as an awards board on which you will post congratulations, certificates, and portraits of students who are recognized for success in a particular area. This award board can be a sheet of plywood covered with green fabric and framed with artificial flowers, grapes and greenery.

In the “under the vine” portion of the class, students can work together to complete a project or assignment. Use brushes of artificial grapes to decorate this corner of the classroom, and roll up long pieces of wrapping or tissue paper to imitate a vine.

Besides:

  • Don't ignore the decoration of your classroom walls. Decorate the empty classroom walls with large pictures of animals. To do this, you can use a projector: place a slide with an image of an animal and point the projector at a piece of whatman paper, trace the image, then color it and cut it out along the outline.
  • Decorate the existing bookshelves and cabinets in the classroom with scraps of green fabric, and run “vines” around the perimeter of the chalkboard and window frames.

In a similar way, you can use other themes in the design of primary classrooms, for example, the theme of space or the underwater world. The goal of all these topics is to create a more relaxed and creative learning environment in the classroom.

Reflection of changes in the rhythm of life in the design of a school classroom

Fall, winter, spring and summer holidays are an opportunity to change up the classroom once again, allowing students to feel like they are in a different environment when they return to class after the holidays. These changes may be minor or, conversely, dramatic, but they must be noticeable.

For example, if you place indoor plants in the corners of your office, this will dramatically change the atmosphere in the classroom. Make sure that the plants in the room have enough sunlight, this is necessary for them to bloom. Children can take part in gardening in the classroom by watering flowers, and you can teach students about the life cycle of plants. You can add coziness and comfort to the classroom by placing a sofa and lounge chairs in it.

What can be decorated

With any amount of New Year's decor in the classroom, it should be comfortable to study: without elements covering the board, hanging on the children's heads, covering important areas of the classroom (washbasin, cabinets, teacher's desk, etc.).

In many schools it is forbidden to place even pots with indoor plants on the windowsills (these are fire safety rules), so we don’t put any Christmas tree arrangements there either.

The main areas remain: the window glass itself, the ceiling, the “New Year’s corner,” and the walls.

Air balloons

Balloons are the most accessible and familiar decorative element that accompanies almost all holidays. The presence of balls in the room immediately creates the feeling that something significant is coming. Be sure to use them to decorate your classroom.

You can do it like this:

buy a couple dozen balloons. Fill some part (about ten) with helium, and inflate the rest yourself. Helium balloons can be released to the ceiling, be sure to tie a colored ribbon to it;

Be sure to buy balloons of different colors. Preferably monochromatic, without catchy or inappropriate inscriptions, so that they do not destroy the atmosphere.

  • Distribute balloons with regular air throughout the classroom. Decorate the corners of a chalkboard, a door, tie balloons to the backs of chairs, or stock up on a few balloons for competitions;
  • Write letters on the balls with a marker and make an inscription out of them, for example: “First of September”, “Hello, first grade!” and so on;
  • if you are a fan of creative approaches, you can assemble some character from a children’s cartoon or even a metaphorical image of a first-grader from balloons;
  • For a competition or just a nice little thing, buy a long, elongated ball like a sausage. Such balls are used to add up various figures: a man, a dog or a ring. Place them on their desks and let students use their imagination! Such a surprise will definitely not leave children indifferent, but do not forget to help those who are not very good at twisting the ball.

Helium balloons make great classroom decorations!
After the end of the holiday, all the balloons can be distributed to the children. For them, this is a wonderful end to the day, and for parents, it is an excellent prop for a beautiful photo shoot.

A little about security

When decorating a school, you should not forget about the most important thing: child safety. After all, the main thing is not how to decorate the classroom, but how not to harm the children. If you use paints, then you should not get carried away more than using regular gouache. Stained glass paints must be from a trusted company, without unnecessary odors.

Each attached bead, as well as the decor made from the film, must hold well so that younger students do not slip on it all. Adults or children should hang New Year's decorations for school, especially on high walls and ceilings, under supervision, because any awkward movement can lead to injury.

Decorating the hall with paper decor

All this is now sold in holiday stores. Some things are easy to deal with. In a couple of seconds, you get a huge bright decoration from a flat piece. You have to tinker with the pom-poms (it takes about 15 minutes to fluff one thing, but it looks cool).

A decorator can do all this, but if you are on a very limited budget, just repeat ready-made solutions from the Internet.

Decoration of the assembly hall

The assembly hall occupies a central place in any holiday, and even more so in the celebration of the New Year. Here you should try your best. But the whole class must also be involved in this issue. To stimulate work, announce a competition and award diplomas and certificates for the best creativity; today this is more relevant than ever.

Large balloon figures or crafts that children make together with their parents will look great in the assembly hall. For example, snowmen: they can be made using threads, glue and balls.

Snowmen made of threads and balls

Inflate three balloons of different sizes. If, according to plans, the snowman should stand on the floor on New Year’s Day, the ball must immediately be loaded, for example, with heavy washers or stones, and then inflated. For hanging toys, you don't need to do anything. Carefully wrap white thread in a circle, layer by layer, coating each layer with PVA glue. The ball should virtually disappear under the web of threads. Dry it, then take the dry ball in your hands, burst it with a needle, carefully eliminate the remnants of the ball, only a ball remains in your hands. You fasten the balls together with threads, decorate them with glitter and sequins. From colored paper you roll up the nose and cut out the eyes; you can glue everything on with double tape.

Bottle bells

For bells you will need plastic bottles of any size. The length you need (usually 15 cm) is removed from the neck and the bottle is cut off. The bottom part is thrown away (or used as a cup). The result is an almost finished bell, all that remains is to decorate it with gouache and glue on glitter. Then tie a beautiful bow at the base, just below the cork.

Bows, by the way, are generally a universal decoration: they can be attached both to the Christmas tree and to the walls.

DIY New Year's decorations

  • Santa's mailbox . Easy to make: take a box, cut out a hole for letters/cards, wrap in red construction paper, add a roof and decorative elements.

  • Snowman made from books/boxes . Fold magazine books or boxes into a pyramid and add details.
  • Fairytale calendar - make a clock in the shape of a New Year's hero. Instead of a time scale, write down the numbers from 1 to 31. Ideas for using this classroom decoration for the New Year: use an arrow to show the current date or simply cross out the days that have passed.
  • Garlands from mittens - give the children the task of cutting out and decorating a mitten for their palm, then connect it with a thread.

The large area allows you to install a full-size Christmas tree there. The tree can be artificial or natural. Ready-made Christmas tree toys, tinsel, and children's crafts are used as decorations.

Additionally the foyer is decorated with:

  • garlands;
  • posters;
  • figures from balls;
  • tinsel.

Walls and windows are decorated with paper products, patterns, and artificial snow. From scrap materials you can make large figures of Father Frost, the Snow Maiden and the symbol of 2021 - a pig. To create figures, cardboard, cotton wool, foam plastic, and plastic are used.

Corridor

School corridors are always full of life, so it is not advisable to use a large amount of decor there. It is advisable to completely exclude fragile and breakable objects. The corridor is decorated with paper products suspended from the ceiling and attached to the walls. Posters and figures made of soft materials are also relevant.

Assembly Hall

Official New Year's school events take place in the auditorium. The school’s main Christmas tree is installed there, and besides it, you can create a festive atmosphere in the following ways:

  • decorate the stage with inflatable balloons;
  • hang paper crafts and garlands;
  • attach posters, tinsel, Christmas tree decorations to the walls;
  • arrange New Year themed figures around the hall;
  • Decorate the aisles between the rows with balloons.

A quick and easy way to decorate your office for the new year 2022

In order to quickly and efficiently create decor for the New Year, you should have with you everything you can get your hands on: multi-colored paper, glue, scissors, pencils, felt-tip pens and the like. You can also bring old unwanted jewelry from home that can be revived.

Decorating the hallway with the kids!

In order to decorate the school corridor, it is enough to involve children from grades 1 to 5 in the creative process, since children of this age are most interested in this. Go!

  1. Firstly, the teacher should give creative homework, which consists of preparing a fake. Children will be happy to carry out this assignment, of course, if they are also thanked with a mark. Large fakes can be placed on window sills or placed on special stands, which are available in any civilization school. Hang spectacular posters along the walls along the corridor or place them in creative corners, and you can also hang a variety of garlands there. All the tinsel that the parents of the students brought from home can be used and hung by color, as well as decorate the top of the walls. You can secure it with tape and a shard. After such procedures, the corridors will come to life and begin to create a cool atmosphere.
  2. Secondly, you can use everything that you ever planned or throw in the trash. For example, you should manipulate old tulle by making it wavy and tying it up with effective means at hand. This product can be placed wherever your heart desires: on the walls, on the door, on the ceiling. During technology lessons, students can make a huge number of different snowflakes, which can later be used as decoration. And much more is entirely at your discretion.
