My name is Natasha and I'm a gameaholic))
I especially love coming up with crazy activities for children.
If you dream of bringing a magical story to life for your child and throwing an Alice in Wonderland birthday party, then follow me.
I will give you five keys that will take you into a world of fantasy and extraordinary tasks. I am sure that if you use at least one, your child will remember the holiday with a happy smile , and the parents of other children will be surprised at your creativity.
Key #1 - design with meaning
You know, sometimes it seems to me that I dream of giving birth to a girl, so that one day I can decorate the room with bushes of white and red roses, Cheshire cat smiles and cups hanging from the chandelier.
But I still have a son, who, by the way, loves the story of Lewis Carol. But mystery and adventure are much more important to him than the combination of colors in the design of invitations.
Therefore, for him, I always combine beauty with exciting tasks.
For example, on all the white roses hanging around the room (it’s very good to attach them to bluetek - plasticine that does not leave marks), you can write numbers. And on the red ones there are letters. Children collect roses and find the same pattern. They will find that each rose with a number corresponds to a rose with a letter exactly the same in design. And when they place the flowers on the floor, they will read a secret message that will take them on an adventure.
And suddenly you don't know where the great party decoration ideas are! On my Pinterest account I collect the most interesting decorations and entertainment options! Subscribe!
And here is this link to a board with ideas for decorating an “Alice in Wonderland Birthday Party,” which I am constantly adding to.
Quest tasks
All tasks in the quest have a colorful design with characters and elements from the cartoon “Alice's Adventures”. The task cards are designed in the form of playing cards. At the end of each task, hidden places are indicated that the participants will have to solve, and which will lead them to a new task until the sweets (or the main gift) are found.
Start of the quest. You can play around the beginning of the quest in this way: 1 . Print out Alice's introductory letter along with Assignment No. 1 and fold it into one envelope. 2. Glue one candy or small chocolate to this envelope with double-sided tape (or using a glue gun) and sign “All the sweets are here.” 3. Invite children to the table (or any other organized place in nature for a holiday snack) with empty cups and plates. Place this letter on one of the plates. 4.
As soon as the children approach the snack place (the sweet table) and see only empty plates and cups (glasses), and only in one plate there is a strange letter with one candy, from that moment the search for sweets for the holiday table will begin. If the purpose of the quest is also to present a gift, then hide the main gift along with the sweets in the last hiding place. We also advise you to put a small chocolate bar in each envelope with the subsequent task. Thereby slightly encouraging and teasing children.
Description of tasks in the quest: ◊ “Forward, after the rabbit!” - a fun task on knowledge of animal tracks, which is solved by the method of elimination, since some tracks are similar to each other. ◊ “Time Can't Wait” is an attentiveness task that requires participants to match letters and numbers in the correct order on a clock. Children's skills in precise clock orientation are not required. ◊ “Door Keys” is a fun task to find the keys for each door, and each door, in turn, indicates the location of the letter in the code. Only the right location will help you find the next hiding place. ◊ “Strange Chess” is a chess puzzle that does not require knowledge of the game of chess. In order to find the desired hiding place, it is enough to navigate the alphabetic and numerical designation of the chessboard. ◊ “What Are They All Talking About” is a mirror riddle that children can only solve by reading it. And it is possible to read the riddle only with the help of a mirror. ◊ “Everything that is unnecessary will be necessary” - a fun and colorful task to find among different shapes of objects those that do not have a pair and only they will suggest the next hiding place. ◊ “Counting Roses” - a simple arithmetic task for counting roses of different colors and addition - subtraction within 10. ◊ “Tea with letters” - an alphabet task in which some letters are partially drowned in cups of tea, participants need to recognize these letters from the remaining ones parts and arrange them according to the numbering specified in the task. ◊ “Funny Croquet” is a game in which flamingos are used instead of mallets, and hedgehogs are used instead of balls. And only hedgehogs know the right path and the answer to who will win: the Queen or Alice.◊ “Drink me...” is a logic task in which, from the presented bottles with a magic elixir, you need to assemble the composition that will help Alice regain her height.

Key #3 - heroes
It's great if a hero comes to your child's birthday. Moreover, Alice's world gives us room for imagination.
I'll tell you a terrible secret. A child doesn't care about a suit. An animator can be dressed absolutely believably, but at the same time only cause a yawn. The main thing is the prank that the hero will offer. And HOW he will offer it.
I would call this a degree of prank.
I'm leading to the fact that Dad in the role of the Caterpillar, wrapped in blankets and tied with ropes, blowing soap bubbles from a tube, will give a hundred points ahead to any animator.
Yes, there are powerful actors who amazingly captivate children.
But if suddenly you don’t have the opportunity to hire professionals, then believe me, this is not a reason to be upset.
Here are some more simple ideas for costumes made from scrap materials:
- Alice - plain dress + white apron
- The Hatter is an old suit, a bright shirt with a contrasting bow tie and a paper top hat on his head.
- The Duchess is a man in a woman's dress and hat. Both comedy and power.
Entertainment
If you are expecting a large number of guests, prepare a special sector - a photo zone, where each of those present can take beautiful pictures or leave a few words in the wish book.
Arrange a quest with interesting tasks or a master class on coloring white paper roses!
The presence of a photo theater will also be of interest, which will allow both adults and children to take a lot of funny photos.
Outdoor games, darts using ball shapes, riddles and charades - all this will be appropriate for the holiday.
Key #4 - games
There is one secret in choosing games for a birthday party.
There is no need to look for games specifically for Alice in Wonderland. I’ve done this before and was indignant at the paucity of imagination of English-speaking bloggers, who were only enough to “glue the tail on the Cheshire cat.”
And then I realized that any game can be stylized either like “Alice in Wonderland” or like “Star Wars” . Therefore, you just need to take what will be interesting to your child and add imagination.
You can play frosty with the hatter or bowling with the Duchess (you're tired of croquet, the flamingos have flown away).
Quest plot
Letter from Alice
Are you planning a children's birthday, a children's party, or if you just decided to organize a children's party and don't know how to keep the children occupied and entertained? Then the interesting and fun children's quest “Alice's Dream” with the search for a gift (sweets) is perfect for entertaining children. The plot of the quest.
The children fell into Alice's magical dream. To get out of it, you need to organize a tea party with magical sweets, which the children will go in search of after receiving Alice’s letter and the first task. But on the way to sweets (gifts), participants will encounter obstacles and tricks in the form of interesting and unusual tasks.
Key No. 5 - quest
Games are wonderful. But how do you reach incredible levels of wonder? Easily! Combine all the previous keys: design with meaning, riddles, heroes and games into an exciting quest.
A quest is several gaming stations with characters, united by one plot. The main secret of a good birthday quest is to give children a grandiose goal. For example, to save the world from the machinations of the evil Queen. Or catch up with the white rabbit, who gives gifts to everyone who grabs his tail.
For more information on how to create a quest, read my article “Planning a Legendary Party.”
And if I’ve infected you with the idea of throwing a birthday party based on “Alice in Wonderland,” but you don’t have enough time to come up with everything, then I suggest using my script. It is suitable for a group of children from 5 to 8 years old and up to 12 people.
I have created more than twenty birthday scenarios and I know from experience that creativity takes about two weeks: choosing games, writing the texts of the characters, discarding unnecessary things, writing a list of props. That’s why I decided to make ready-made scenarios for those who have enough energy to organize unique adventures for their children, but still don’t have an extra fourteen days.
Upon request, I write a script from 25,000 rubles. Here at this link I talk about the principles and details of my work. The script “Alice in Wonderland” was created to order for the birthday of a 6-year-old girl.
This is what my mother Marina from the USA wrote to me after the holiday:
And then I reworked and expanded the holiday script so that the plot would be suitable for almost any space. If you click on the Cheshire cat, you will find out what exactly is included in the Alice in Wonderland quest package and for whom it is best suited .
And don’t forget to download the checklist of the legendary party - it will help you prepare perfectly for any holiday.
Let's be friends!
I will share stories, ideas and inspiration.
Thank you!
