Decorators at weddings usually worry about a photo zone, but I decided that for all other family events a beautiful place for photography would not hurt.
We try so hard to arrange an interesting children's birthday, anniversary or wedding anniversary, but at the same time we persistently take pictures against the backdrop of wallpaper, cabinets, curtains and a table with scraps :-). Enough!

A well-known technique, which, however, always enjoys success. To take photographs in the room, we simply ask guests to hold the frame in their hands; if the holiday is outdoors, we hang round and rectangular baguettes from tree branches.
This is perhaps the fastest way to design a photo zone in nature. People tend to pose much more interestingly, trying to fit into a composition limited by a frame.
You can buy baguettes at any chain supermarket that sells goods for home and comfort; there are both pompous and simple ones, which are more suitable for the holiday theme.

As an alternative, you can use layouts (month, Eiffel Tower, glowing heart, initials of your names) that will create a ready-made atmosphere for a cool and fun photo shoot anywhere.

First of all, think about the style of the holiday. Perhaps your son or daughter has already developed their own tastes or preferences.
Traditional colors for decorating a girl's party are shades of pink, and for boys the room is decorated in blue, but this should not be used as an axiom.
Experiment and use any colors you like.
- Decor with numbers. In order to make it immediately clear to everyone when looking at a photograph how old the child is, decorative numbers are usually used. In order to make a three-dimensional number “1” you will need patience and available materials, such as cardboard, colored paper or ribbons. It all depends on how exactly you want to decorate the figure.
- Balloons. The advantage of this method of decoration is that they are bright and can be of various shapes and colors. Your baby will surely love a ball in the shape of a number, an animal or a flower. Especially good are helium balloons, which constantly strive upward. The only disadvantage of this design is that they can burst at any moment and scare those present.
- Garlands will become a real decoration not only for the dedicated photo zone for the anniversary, but also for the entire children’s room. Ribbons, paper, fabric or fresh flowers are used to create garlands. In order to make a garland with your own hands, you need to take paper and cut flags, letters, circles or other shapes from it. A very interesting idea is to use pompoms for decoration.
- You can make a throne out of a chair. Use only safe materials for decoration, as a child may put them in his mouth and accidentally swallow them.
- Photos. You can hang the most interesting photographs of your baby on a stand or wall. The child may not be very interested, but the invited guests will be satisfied. Among the photographs, it is better to use symbolic ones - the first day of life, the first smile, the first tooth, steps, etc.
- For the anniversary background, you can use beautiful wallpaper, gift paper or your own drawings. Try setting up a stand with your child. Take whatman paper and paint the baby’s hands and feet with paint. Fun and delight from multi-colored traces are guaranteed, and the result is a painting in the style of abstract art.
Balls
Helium balloons can fill the space against which your guests will pose. You can make several helium chains one above the other or put fountains of balloons on the floor (these are bundles of balloons on ropes of different lengths with a weight on the floor).
I don’t recommend making balloons that are too bright for the photo zone, as guests in colored clothes will get lost. Delicate colors (shades of green, gold, pink) or even balls of the same color will be very helpful in this case.
Photo shoot at home
Shooting at home with friends is also a good solution! Despite the apparent simplicity of such an undertaking, it requires careful preparation. You need to choose clothes and do makeup. An equally important factor is the interiors. If the home environment is not to the birthday boy’s taste, you can move to a studio decorated in the form of a regular kitchen. Today, quite a lot of studios offer such interiors.
The most important point: the main hero of the occasion should like the format of the event. Therefore, you need to find out in advance the preferences of a friend.
Ready photo props on sticks
All these accessories can be placed in vases next to the photo zone. Guests can borrow and pose with the hat mustaches. By the way, at one holiday the photo zone itself was decorated with these items. These elegant pictures were simply attached with double-sided tape in a chaotic order on a white background. Very good! The cost is low, the design of such a photo zone is quite cheap, and it looks original.

Tips for decorating a photo zone for a one-year-old girl and boy
In order for everything to go perfectly and result in wonderful photographs, it is necessary to take into account some nuances. They will help in creating the best birthday for a boy or girl.
By adhering to the following points, you will avoid mistakes when creating a photo zone for your baby:
- Free space in front of the stand. Experts recommend leaving up to 2 m of free space, as this will allow you to take high-quality photographs that will fit the entire background.
- Children under one year old are very impressionable, so it is not advisable to use large, bright objects. The area should be decorated in soft pastel colors. A variety of shades is also not desirable.
- Do not use small parts, as the child may become interested in them and swallow them.
- Balloons in a photo zone organized for a boy or girl on his first birthday are not advisable, because they can burst at any moment and scare the baby. However, if the balloons are not overly inflated or filled with helium, they will make a wonderful decoration.
Thematic banner (press wall) or tantamaresque
A wonderful thing for a photo zone. For family holidays, such a banner can be ordered and installed in a restaurant or even at home. A great way to take memorable photos of a wedding anniversary or anniversary.
